2016年12月一代巨星George Michael圣诞节辞世轰动全球，引发乐迷缅怀。他的热门单曲在iTunes下载榜上大幅回升，经典作Careless Whisper一度高升各国榜单前列。
 
而Spotify也公布其一天内流媒体试听量暴涨30倍！涨幅达3158%，其中试听最高的是Last Christmas！Careless Whisper、Faith、Freedom! '90和Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go分列2-5名。
